When selling a home, it can be a struggle selecting which are the best estate agents to use. From considering the fees they charge, the valuation they provide, the service they are promising, and the recent history they have, there can be an awful lot going on. However, there could be an easy move to make.
Whilst new estate agents can come and go in the blink of an eye, the majority of those that are worth their salt stick around for the duration. With this in mind, it is well worth considering estate agents that have been operating in the area for a number of years. They are clearly doing something right, and are likely to have built a good reputation.
However, one approach is something that a surprisingly low number of sellers consider; that of instructing the agent who they bought the property from. There are many reasons why this makes such as a sensible choice though.
Though staff can change through the years, there is still a chance that the same sales people will be there, so any positive relationship that was created could be called upon. Even if this is not the case, they will certainly have some prior knowledge of, and information about the property.
This could be particularly beneficial if the property has undergone significant change in the time the seller has had it. Providing such information as to how a property has been positively enhanced, is a good tool to use for attracting buyers as to its quality and care afforded to it.
However the best local estate agents are chosen though, it should include some research into how their previous customers view them.
