Even if they are due to do this, by attending an SMSTS 5 day course will enable for individuals to be fully prepared so that whatever this situation has to offer them they will know exactly how to deal with it. The aims and objectives of this course include how to manage Health and Safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and how to recognise that a safe site is both productive and efficient. In order to pass this course, it is suggested that all sessions are attended especially as they will not be awarded with a Construction Site Manager’s Safety Certificate when this isn’t done.
Once individuals have passed their course, they will be able to implement all of the health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation in regards to their daily duties. They will also be aware about their own personal responsibilities with the environment which they work in. This course is initially designed to last for five years with participants not needing to refresh their knowledge during this time. However, it is suggested that this should be completed within three years because of the on-going changes in technology and legislation.
