Things to do in Tenerife

Tenerife is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the whole of Europe. It is one of the Canary Islands which rest in the Atlantic Ocean and offers fantastic weather conditions and holiday experiences all year round.

It is hardly surprising that Tenerife is such a popular holiday destination when you consider the fact that the island is covered with the most beautiful beaches, tourist attractions and volcanic landscapes which are simply jaw dropping.

Not only that, but it is a very family-friendly destination, thanks to the wealth of things to do and see on the island, some of which can be found below:

Teide National Park

You simply cannot visit Tenerife without taking a trip out to Teide National Park which can be found right in the middle of the island. It is a place of jaw dropping beauty and awe inspiring views of local flora and fauna. You don’t have to be a nature lover to truly enjoy a visit to the park.

Jungle Park

It may surprise you to know that Tenerife is home to the one and only jungle in Europe and it would be a sin not to visit it when you were in the area. Situated in Las Aguilas, the Jungle Park is a great place to explore. The kids will love visiting the exotic birds and catching a glimpse of the magnificent big cats, penguins and Meer Kats who reside there.

Aqualand

It wouldn’t be a sunny Spanish holiday without at least one trip to a water park and Aqualand in Costa Adeje is one of the best. There are dolphins and water slides galore to enjoy and all the family are guaranteed a great day out.

Blue Flag

Most of us like to visit the beach on holiday and Tenerife is home to no less than 8 Blue flag beaches which are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun in stunning surroundings.

Güimar Pyramids

You probably thought pyramids were only found in Egypt but, in actual fact, Tenerife is home to an amazing six step pyramid which is definitely worth a look.
