At one point, Sky television was the pinnacle of home entertainment, an option that many people preferred but that not everyone could afford. Today, however, with so many channels being available for free, paying for television no longer has quite so much appeal. So does anyone still watch Sky?
The answer is yes, and with good reason. Sky have been very clever about the way they have dealt with the ubiquity of digital TV and have changed their approach to not only offer more, but also to be far more focussed on service as opposed to choice. Whilst they still offer a great deal of choice, they also offer the ability to far more easily choose the package you want, offering flexibility along with the chance of combining the costs of such services with other utilities to see a great number of savings.
It is also now possible to go out and buy your own satellite, your own Sky digibox and your own Sky Plus remote and simply receive a version of Freesat, allowing you the potential to increase the number of channels you receive as and when you wish without worrying about contract lengths and in turn you can quite literally have what you want, when you want it.
A Sky Digibox offers a great deal of flexibility to customers, giving them far more options than an ordinary set-top box and without the initial outlay being a great deal more. Knowing whether Sky is worth it or not is not as clear cut as it used to be, but from the 3D options they offer through to the ability to pause, rewind and record live TV with your Sky Plus remote, Sky still offers a great deal more than any other option, and having the hardware to ensure the option is there doesn’t have to cost you a great deal more than any other digital box.
