Living Without Alcohol

Many of us drink to have fun. Alcohol helps to remove many of our inhibitions and many people find that they are able to let go more and even potentially find that they are sharper and wittier as a result. There are many reasons for this, and alcohol does indeed help us to link disparate ideas, meaning that we may well indeed be able to make connections faster and in turn seem wittier.

In turn, many people think that alcohol makes them a better version of themselves. However, in reality, there is only a very limited time when alcohol actually offers these benefits, and even if we do not realise it, alcohol will, after this point, no longer help us be witty or quick, but will instead cloud our judgement and impair our thoughts.

Furthermore, alcohol is so commonplace in our culture, that many of us do not realise just how much damage alcohol is doing to us, both mentally and physically, and what may have started as a way to enjoy life more and be quick witted, can very quickly become a gateway to ill-health, both mentally and physically.

For those who feel they may be drinking too much, it is always best to tackle the problem as soon as you notice things may potentially become a problem, and whilst some may be able to deal with it themselves, one of the most effective ways to live without alcohol will be through alcohol rehab.

Whilst it may be easy enough for some people to stop drinking for a limited time, without alcohol rehab and a full alcohol detox it may not be obvious as to why one might feel the need to drink excessively in the first place.

In almost all instances, those who drink heavily will actually find that alcohol detox helps them to enjoy life more, not less, and that they are actually far quicker witter after they stop drinking than before.

Ultimately the benefits of alcohol are extremely limited and it may be hard to notice that they very quickly dissipate and turn to problems.
