More consumers may be turning to the web to source indoor lights

There are plenty of interior light fittings for consumers to choose from when they want to brighten up their properties. These days, many individuals opt to head online to get their hands on indoor lighting and it seems as though this trend may be gaining momentum.

According to research conducted by MyHigh.St, six in ten shoppers no longer consider the high street to be their first port of call when they are on the lookout for everyday household items. Meanwhile, four in ten of the 2,000 adults it polled noted they believe they can get a better deal by heading online.

It was also found that one in six respondents did not have time to browse the shops.

Among the problems consumers identified concerning making trips to shops were expensive and difficult parking, a lack of choice and the inability to visit the stores during their limited opening hours.

Meanwhile, 70 per cent of respondents suggested they can conduct the majority of their shopping over the web. Indeed, many may look for interior light fittings in cyberspace.

Commenting on the findings of the study, a spokesman for MyHigh.St said: “Long working hours and hectic schedules mean that British adults have very little time to conduct their shopping and so want convenience when they do get around to doing it.

”These days, most people turn to the internet to order everything from food, drinks, clothing and household essentials, rather than nipping down to their local high street or store to stock up.”

When people use the web to get their hands on new indoor lighting, they tend to find the task to be quick and simple. They may even be able to complete their orders during a break at work, or while they have a little time to spare in the evening.
