The Birmingham Jewellery Quarter is a mecca for retailers and consumers with a penchant for jewellery of all kinds. Recently, The Jewellery Show (TJS) was staged in the area and an exclusive party was thrown as a promotional event.
On February 4th, the i2i Events Group held the event at The Jam House and before the celebrations kicked off, revellers were promised a night of exclusive previews, essential networking and well-earned celebrations, Retail Jeweller reports.
The gathering provided organisers with an opportunity to promote what is to be London’s first dedicated watch trade show, The Watch Salon. This event, supported by Retail Jeweller, will take place on June 11th and 12th at Somerset House in the capital.
Meanwhile, the recent party in the Jewellery Quarter was also a chance to celebrate TJS’s 14 per cent growth in customers year-on-year.
Ahead of the soiree, i2i Events Group portfolio director for fashion and jewellery, Julie Driscoll, said: “I am delighted to once again invite our exhibitors and their guests to join us at the 2013 Jewellery Show party, which offers the perfect opportunity for everyone to relax and let their hair down in a wonderful setting after a busy day on the show floor.
“Everyone had a fabulous time at our 2012 party and even though we’ve got something very different in the pipeline for this year, it still promises to be the hottest ticket in town.”
Apart from trade shows and parties, there are many reasons why people visit the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. There are a plethora of jewellers to visit and once consumers have finished their shopping, they can make the most of the range of pubs, hairdressers, cafes and restaurants in the area, and there are also museums and galleries on offer.
Meanwhile, the BBC recently noted that a new parking scheme is being trialled in the quarter in a bid to make it easier for individuals to find spaces.
