Towels and Your Skin

The towels you use and how you use them can have a significant effect on the health of your skin. From using towels that have not been washed for a long period of time and are in turn caked with germs to simply using towels that are of a poor quality and damaging your skin when it is at its most delicate, there will be many ways in which your towels can affect the way your skin looks and feels.

The way you dry yourself and your towels will have a major effect on your skin too, and not only should you avoid vigorously rubbing at your skin the moment you step out of the shower, but it is also well worth ensuring that towels are warm and aired before you use them.

Therefore, using heated towel racks to put your towel sets on can make a huge difference, as can simply patting your body dry rather than scrubbing it. However, whilst these will look at the complexion of your skin and how it looks and feels, it will do little about keeping germs away.

For this, you will need to wash towels every few days, with 5 being the recommended maximum to leave it between washes. For this to be feasible, you will need a number of replacement sets to make sure that you do not have to constantly wash and dry towels and instead can do so only once a number of them have piled up.

Using high quality, luxury bathroom towels will also be very important as, the softer the towels are, the kinder they will be to your skin, and the less likely they will be to harbour great colonies of germs to boot.

By making a few simple changes to the way you dry yourself and the products you dry yourself with, your skin and your whole body could be a great deal healthier, and your bathroom a great deal more attractive to boot.
